Barn Door Blooms is a culmination of my love of flowers coupled with 18 years of corporate event and marketing experience.  As a busy mom, wife and flower lover it's my joy to build a floral design business that focuses on local community events, weddings and seasonal workshops. We engage with local farms, venues, vendors and community to create unique events incorporating local seasonal blooms. Our goal is to support flower farmers, bring a personalized approach to events through our Bloom Gatherings and provide an opportunity for others to experience the joy of flowers in a fun and unique way.

We recently joined CT Flower Growers - a collective of local CT based flower farms to bring you what's fresh and local.

Flowers bring me joy.
Since I was a little girl, my hands have been digging in the soil. Growing up, flowers were the food that fed my soul. I clearly remember the daily gifts of Dahlias the size of my head from my great grandfather’s garden, sea lavender that I stealthily picked from the side of the cape cod shore, gorgeous roses in the Boston public garden that I insisted on stopping to smell occasionally (making me late for work), a hand-picked wild flower bouquet that I scavenged with my now husband up in the woods of Maine. My two little boys can pick out road side Queen Ann's lace and love a good foraging adventure for winter berry or spring forsythia.
Flowers have become the chapters of my book and now it is clear to me that I want to spread the joy blooms have given me to others.

Dahlias...swoon...my favorite! Reminds me of my great grandfather's blooms.
